The Royal Wedding : Top 10 ways to live like a prince or princess

Top 10 ways to live like a prince or princess:

With the Royal Wedding just around the corner, many of us have been swept up in romanticism and fuzzy feelings about tying the knot. If you have been fantasizing about a fairytale wedding just like that of Kate and Wills, and the royal lifestyle to go with it, then dream no longer. Here are our top 10 suggestions for living like a prince or princess:

1. Tea on the Royal Yacht Britannia, Edinburgh, Scotland
Board the Royal Yacht Britannia, the Queen's floating palace now retired and moored in Leith in Edinburgh. It was a favorite with honeymooning royal couples including Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips and the Prince and Princess of Wales. Have a unique peek inside the Queen's bedroom, (something that's not possible at any other royal residence), take tea on the deck as the Queen once did or toast the Royal couple on the big day with a glass of Champagne.

2. Learn to play Polo, Cotswolds, England
Thundering up and down the field on a nippy polo pony and thwacking the hell out of a ball has been a key component of royal life for years. Prince William and Harry both play and, chances are, if you attend matches during the season, you'll be rubbing shoulders with some pretty regal folks. Watching is one thing but if you want the full princely package why not take a lesson? Cirencester Polo Academy and Lynt Polo Club, both in the Cotswolds, offer introductory lessons to this 'sport of kings'.

3. A trip on the Orient Express, UK-wide
Explore the best of Britain's scenery on the most exclusive, romantic and luxurious trains in the world. Discover the majestic Scottish Highlands on the Royal Scotsman, take the art deco British Pullman for 1920s vintage glamor or pick from 60 UK daytrip destinations on the Northern Belle. All the trains are luxuriously furnished and have onboard dining with champagne served and exquisite tasting menus.

4. Walk down the aisle at Westminster Abbey, London, England
The organ rumbles, the first notes of the wedding march ring out below the soaring medieval roof and Kate starts her walk to the altar. Well, that's what'll happen on 29 April, anyway. But before or after the event you can play at being a princess, too. Visit Westminster Abbey, London's awe-inspiring World Heritage Site, to stand where countless royals have been married, crowned and buried.

5. Stay in a castle, Scotland and Wales
If you're going to be a prince or princess you'll need some suitably regal accommodation. At Dundas Castle in Edinburgh, you'll get exclusive use of the entire castle, a range of exciting outdoor pursuits and five-star catering, including a medieval banquet. In Wales, try the centuries-old Ruthin Castle, once owned by King Edward I, Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. If your budget won't stretch to an overnight stay, why not explore Aberdeen City and Shire, which has the greatest concentration of castles in the UK.
